 | Heres the plot. It is set during the time period between Catle Roogna, and Centaur Aisle. X(AN)^th has decided to study the effects of bringing lesser demons into contact with xanthians. King Trent has called the lands greatest heros to come and combat these demons. that is us. post your backstory, and let the rpg begin!

| "Welcome, young warriors. I am, as you know, King Trent. I welcome you, and thank you for making the journey from your homes to Castle Roogna."
"Now, come with me, and I would like you to meet my bleepociate, Lorik. He will be briefing you, and conducting proper background checks."
"Um, background checks, your highness?" asked Lurk.
"Yes, Lurk. As King, I feel that I owe it to my people, to find out more about those protecting my Kingdom. That way, if anyone of you three turn out to be traitor, I will be able to deal with you accordingly."
"oh, okay." said Lurk.
They followed the king, until they came to a room with a small bearded man sitting in it.
"Hamelet, if you wouldn't mind going first."

"The Greater Demons have, as you know, been watching us for a long time. Lesser demons have begun to manifest, and as such, they have elected a leader to govern them. their leader believes that if he can gather enough people together, he will be able to gain enough information on how to become a Demon. However, many xanthians are not cooperating with his desire for knowledge, so he decided not too long ago to launch an attack. Therefore, it is upon us to step up and prevent him from completing his goal."

| One man dressed quite differently from a modern xanthian, with a golden maple leaf on his collar, stepped forward and snapped his right hand to his brow and he stood stiffly. "Sir," the young man addressed the King. "I am Major Legion, a cadet from the Barracks... the soldiers you brought here to Xanth." he paused, somewhat nervously. "The Army Magician."

| *looks to Legion with a gaze of approval and listens to everyone discuss what options are available.*
I believe our best option is to garrison some of our towns. This way, we can prevent some of the offense from attacking our natives.
Also, i have put in a request to send some people to the centaur island. There, we may be able to coordinate an attack pattern, or at least come up with a plan.

"But I have studied certain demonic incursions as a part of my military history, namely the offensive at the Vale of the Vole, and It strikes me that trying to fortify ourselves in near useless. Except in case of powerful magicians, such as the Good Magician Humphrey, and near magician talents like that of Eskil Ogre, there isn't a consistant way to repel demons. Best options lay in diplomacy. Either contacting known friendly demons such as Prince Vore, who by fact of his marriage to Princess Nada Naga, is allied to humans, Demon Grossclout, or Demoness Metria." all was spoken in a respectful tone. "Meanwhile an envoy to the Voles might be a good idea as they are the only Xanthian's to ever repel demons."

| Although I am one to agree completely with diplomacy, i have learned that the best way to defeat your enemies is to take them out by surprise. Thus, i believe that if we barricade our defences in our towns, evacuate personnae (such as women and children) to the Castle Roogna or the Centaur Isle, we can use the lay of the land to behoove our defense.
Perhaps diplomacy would work, but i'm thinking more about what happens if it doesn't.

| A young man walked up to King Trent and states "The Good Magician sent me. I am aware that you need transportation to move women and children from their homes at a faster rate of travel. I can supply that transportation."
The King looked at this young man and asked "Just what would your name be?"
"My name is Bastian Wheeler," the young man answered, "and I can transform into a mundane vehicle, like a metal dragon, but with wheels. My talent is also to put tires on things. Just keep Demon Flate away from me and those things that I put tires on. The rate of travel would go slower because he would make my tires deflate."
