Wow, this is a cool banner, eh? Gee. What are you bothering the banner for?

An offical list of the Cast and Crew of the movie 'A Spell for Chameleon' has not yet been announced by Warner Brothers. However, we do know some information and speculation on the main Crew members.

It is still in speculation who exactly is doing what. Wolfgang Petersen's 'Troy Team' is working with McCalies. You could call them all producers, but one of them will probably be heading the direction of the film, and the other the screenplay. Who will be doing what is still not exact at this time.

Tim McCanlies
Screenplay Writer

Known best for his writing of Secondhand Lions, The Iron Giant, and the TV series Smallville, Tim McCalies was born in Texas, the year 1953.

A screenplay or script is a blueprint for the movie. So, as the lead screenplay writer, McCanlies will be adapting Piers Anthony's book 'A Spell for Chameleon' into a movie.

Wolfgang Petersen's "Troy" Team
Producers/Director

Wolfgang's team will be directing 'A Spell for Chameleon' most definitely. He and his 'team' are best known for the recent production of 'Troy' and of 'The Neverending Story'. Also popularly known as the director of 'Bicentennial Man' and 'The Perfect Storm'. Wolfgang works with David Benioff and Diana Rathbun- Because Wolfgang himself is actually going to be busy the next few years, David Benioff will probably be the actual director of A Spell for Chameleon.

As director, Wolfgang will be defining the overall feel of the movie, and deciding on some of the details that will make or break Xanth for motion pictures.

Petersen's early work in Hollywood did include the children's classic, The Never Ending Story, so he does have some expertise in the field of fantasy. Having said that, it's probably not going to be an issue anyway, as his schedule is currently full on other projects, and he will not be having much to say on the direction of A Spell for Chameleon.

Wolfgang has been critized in production of Troy for butchering the series of Greek Mythology novels it was based on. The novels, which were centered around the doings of Greek Gods, were turned into a blood fest, and the end movie did not see over a minute of film without violence and death. Also, the forced 'over acting' amoung the normally popular actors (Brad Pitt & Orlando Bloom) in Troy has often been attributed to Wolfgang. Wolfgangs has been mostly critized for his lack of research into military strategies during the specific time period of Troy.
