Why we have a members system at Xo:
The member area of Xanthians Online was first introduced in 1999 in hopes of getting more people to contribute to the site. It has since become a necessity to the site to prevent exploitation of interactive content (ie, you cant submit anything unless you are a member). By labeling members, we can better manage submitted content to ensure its quality, and we can save information to our databases to enrich your visits, such as our Xanth Character System, where members are allowed to create toons that can be used throughout the site.
Things to keep in mind while signing up:
Please do not use any adult language; your profile will be displayed publically for children as well as adults. We do not verify email addresses, but we do ask that you please use your real email address. Xanthians Online will never email its users more than once every 2 months, and we never give your email to any ad campains, or even display your email publically on this site. No other members are able to retrieve or view your email (emails can only be sent member to member through the website, without anyone finding out your real email address).
